ESCAPE FROM A MONOTONOUS LIFE ( by Swishti Sharma , My Daughter)

                                                                 ESCAPE FROM A MONOTONOUS LIFE

We got to know about an excursion to Dhanauli,Nainital about half a month before the trip.We were very excited and were very eager to give our names for this trip.Although me and many of friends went in the second group we were able to enjoy ourselves a lot.We started our journewy to Dhanauli via bus at night .It was an over-night journey.Although we were feeling sleepy we forced ourselves to stay awake so that we didn't miss out on the fun part.It was a very convenient and energetic journey. We sang songs all night and played games. Finally we all dozed off as we were very tired. We got chips and juices in the bus from time to time so we did not feel like we could goble up a horse .We reached our destinatin clicking pictures of various beautiful sceneries, singing and pulling each other's leg.We were awestrucked by the beautiful surroundings. We chose our tent mates and were escorted to our tents. The tents were luxurious and bore resemblance to the ones you would find at five star resorts. From our tent we could see a fabulous view which comprised of clouds and mist. After a refreshing meal and some rest we went out for a forest walk. The vegetation and the animals there were pleasant to the eye.The weather was pleasant and enjoyable except for the warm afternoons. We came back to our tents after a good walk in the woods which was tiring but was an enthralling experience. After the walk,we ate to our heart's content and soon the evening came and we were served with snacks and after the sunset there was a bonfire in schedule. At night the stars adorned the sky.As it was dark the place looked spooky so we lit up our torches. The dinner was palatable and at the very thought of our tents waiting for us we went to bed.We had to forcefully open our sleepy eyes early in the morning at six  for breakfast and later a water fall trek.We went through the woods in search of the water fall which was tiring but an enchanting experience. After a lot of stumbling and grumbling we finally reached the place we were searching for.The water from the water fall was refreshing and after we had filled our bottles with the cool water we went to the place from where the water fall originated. We took a short cut to our tents which was unfortunately rough and we had to climb up the edgy and slippery rocks. After sweating profusely we reached the place where we set up our cooking vessels and ingredients and  cooked some tasty maggy which we relished a lot.We reached our tents after an hours walk and dozed off as soon as our heads touched the pillows.Very soon after the beautiful sunset we were served with snacks and then enjoyed the bonfire. After dinner me and my friends headed towards our tent and shared our day's experiences.Next day was not as tiring as there were not too many activities to be performed. We enjoyed participating in activities such as Barma Bridge,Flying Fox,Valley Crossing and many others. We had to pack our luggage the same day so that our journey back home was not delayed. When we were informed about our departure we already started missing the place, the weather and the trainers. As if the place was going to miss us too,it rained on the day of our departure. We were back to the pavillion after a good ten hour bus ride with sweet thoughts and memories of our journey to Dhanauli.
